The Associate Chief Nurse Operations position is comprised of complex managerial and administrative components, associated with critical issues affecting patient care and nursing service administration and overall standards of nursing practice that influence the organizational mission, health care and policy.
The Associate Chief of Operations is responsible to the Associate Director of Patient Care Services. The incumbent is a key resource to executive management and other operating officials. He/she provides leadership and support in planning, implementing, assessing and administering systems to maintain and improve the quality of clinical care through the assessment of staffing effectiveness,budget, FTEE issues, etc. The function is accomplished within the context of the medical center, nine CBOCs, and parts of neighboring states as a tertiary referral center.
