General Description:
The Field Epidemiologist (Epidemiologist) reports to the State Epidemiologist. This position is responsible for performing risk analyses to support Texas livestock industries as related to Texas livestock health issues; advising on trends in disease control and eradication efforts; monitoring surveillance methods; conducting epidemiological investigations; determining disease classifications and diagnostic procedures; and aiding field personnel.
