The Recovery Representative handles liability claims pursuing responsible third parties who have caused loss or damage to Union Pacific Railroad. Responsibilities include conducting liability and damage investigations, working with various departments to generate billing and send demand packages, work with subject matter experts to support repairs and costs, evaluate and negotiate successful resolutions with responsible parties. This position will partner with the Law Department assist and support litigation activities and recovery strategies. The Recovery Rep handles claims across the network involving several damage categories with values ranging from minor to multimillion dollar losses. The Risk Management Recovery Representative will be accountable for the following.
