These positions are on 6CS which is the facilities Progressive Care Unit (ICU Step Down) and resides under the Acute Nursing Inpatient Division.
Provides, directs, and supervises the delivery of quality nursing care to a culturally diverse veteran population of varying complexity in the Acute Nursing Care Division. This is done through providing an increased level of nursing care that bridges the gap between the intensive care unit and medical-surgical units.
Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative and inter-professional practice setting.
Effectively implement health promotion and prevention interventions, manage acute and chronic illness states, assist veterans in the attainment of optimal levels of functioning through rehabilitation, and provide supportive measures for the dying patient and their support system.
