Research Science Officer

MajorDuties
As a Research Science Officer, you will: Serve as Associate Director for Science within the Division to advise on scientific matters. Independently review reports, scientific papers, memoranda, congressional inquiries providing written recommendations concerning these scientific issues. Conceive, plan, evaluate, coordinate, and implement activities related to research programs and projects. Review and clear research protocols for consideration by the CDC institutional Review Board to ensure compliance and adherence to applicable policies and regulations pertaining to the conduct of research in human subjects. Evaluate epidemiologic and other scientific research or the identification of causes or sources of injuries, diseases or disease outbreaks. Perform other duties as required.
