The main purpose of this Community Health Nurse II (CHN II) position is to provide communicable disease prevention, surveillance, and control activities in both a community and clinical setting with a primary focus on tuberculosis. This position provides nurse case management, contact tracing, tuberculosis treatment and prophylaxis, direct observation therapy, follow-up, and education to tuberculosis patients and suspects in Howard County. Also assists with surveillance activities to prevent the spread of communicable diseases
