Hi all, this is a post for anyone looking for housing! I’m a rising D3 and pictured is my 2 bed 1 bath apartment that my roommate and I are moving out of at the end of June.
The apartment building that I live in has a lot of units freeing up this summer, including ours and the management company loves working with Tufts med and dent students. If you’re looking to stay on the cheaper side compared to some of the luxury buildings and want to be assured your rent will stay the same every year, this is definitely the perfect option! We’ve loved living here the past two years with our two cats (no pet rent!), the commute is unbeatable (literally 30 seconds), and you can’t beat the price.
About the place:
This is less than 1 block from campus, located right behind the Posner building. I will say the proximity is a HUGE advantage because it totally eliminates the morning commute, you can go in through the med school. I’ve forgotten my laptop ten minutes before an exam and had time to go home and get it. Our unit has really nice sunlight in both morning and afternoon, a standing balcony, brand new hardwood floors, granite countertops, and faces a quiet courtyard so you never hear cars.
What's available - One and two-bedroom apartments, averaging around $1475 a month per person in a 2-bedroom and $1800-2200 for a 1-bedroom, give or take.
Other info - Cat-friendly, coin laundry in the basement, neighbors who are mostly all fellow health professional students, which ensures a nice quiet study environment all day and night.
The management company is attentive and reasonable. The attached photos are of my 2-bedroom/1 bathroom apartment, which is becoming available this summer when we move out. Other units have similar layouts. I've been here 2 years and have loved it!
